Apple Chestnut Crumble
In the cozy corner of my kitchen, where the aroma of culinary adventures always beckons, a serendipitous moment unfolded..
My Man had brought home a basket of freshly picked apples, a gift from a neighbor's garden. As he presented them to me with a twinkle in his eye, he asked that familiar question, "Can you create something tasty from these?"
Without hesitation, I embraced the challenge with a resounding "Yes!" Little did I know, this endeavor would lead to the creation of something truly extraordinary.
As the apples lay before me, I felt an inexplicable connection with the orchard they hailed from. With each slice, a sense of wonder and anticipation filled the air. It was then that inspiration struck like a bolt of lightning. Roasted chestnuts, a treasure I had preserved from a previous culinary adventure, called out to be part of this enchanting creation.
With tender care, the apples were transformed into a filling infused with love—a symphony of flour, and spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. And the roasted chestnuts, with their nutty essence, added a touch of magic, an unexpected twist that only spontaneity could conjure.
As the apple chestnut crumble baked, I marveled at the artistry of the moment. The best recipes, I've come to learn, are born from spontaneity and love, with no detailed plan in sight. It's a dance of ingredients and intuition, guided by a heart attuned to the world's magic.
When the crumble emerged from the oven, it was nothing short of enchanting. The golden-brown topping glistened like treasures from a fairy's hoard, and the fragrance that filled the kitchen was a testament to the unexpected beauty of the moment.
But this creation held more than just flavor—it was infused with the essence of life's vital nutrients and the wisdom of the Glycemic load, a delightful and wholesome gift from nature itself.
As I shared this magical creation with my beloved, we marveled at the beauty of spontaneity, at the unplanned wonders that life brings forth. Some of our most treasured experiences, we realized, are found in the love-infused spontaneity of a humble yet extraordinary dish.
So here it is, our spontaneous apple chestnut crumble—a reminder that sometimes, life's most extraordinary moments are the ones that surprise us, that fill our hearts with gratitude, and that keep us coming back to the kitchen, ready to embrace the unexpected in every culinary adventure.
Bon appétit, dear food lovers, and may your kitchen always be filled with the magic of spontaneity and love.

One cup of plum confiture
For the Crumble Topping:
One cup almond flour
1/2 cup of erythyrol
One cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 175°C . Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish or a similar-sized ovenproof dish.
2. Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, roasted chestnuts, granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Toss everything together until the apples and chestnuts are well coated.
3. Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the apple and chestnut mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

5. Top the Filling: Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apple and chestnut mixture in the baking dish.
6. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes or until the crumble topping is golden brown, and the filling is bubbly.
